The year 2011 marks the year of the metal rabbit, the forth animal to finish the mythological Chinese calendar race. Many Chinese race societies are superstitious towards he zodiac horoscope views and it’s fortune planning for the year. The minds and mouths of the horrific horoscope psychic writers have consumed many undeveloped minds. What seems to be written without case studies are much trustworthy these days than life experience itself? Perhaps mankind needs to stop this behaviour of falling into peer pressure/superstitious traditions. Sometimes you need to stand in the dark in order to see the light. Sometimes good things do glow in the dark.

This conceptual custom toy, collaboration between CLOGTWO! and PROPERTY, is to study the complexity behaviour of the human mentality towards the downfall of peer pressure and superstitious traditions. At times, we need to think logically and set aside emotions and not let the minds of horoscope writers over power/poison/brainwash our mindset. This is the 21^st century, we have evolved, so why are we still naïve?

The reason for using the glowing decal as a choice of material and fusing it with the studies of anatomy (nervous system layout + major organs), is to signify that no matter how detailed and complex things get, some things are just obvious.

eeshaun’s approach to automatic paintings and drawings are experiments in abstraction, humour and improvisation, resulting in the creation of non-linear, open-ended narratives and forms. The deconstruction and subsequent construction of the ‘alter’ rabbit is eeshaun’s ongoing exploration into improvised systems and formats that can be viewed from multiple perspectives as work in progress.

The Broken Fertility Idol by The Killer Gerbil (www.thekillergerbil.com) Price: SGD 400

Long before time, the first lesser humans had already religiously bowed and lick the groin of the once known Fertility Idols as a belief to enhance their sexual powers for greater reproduction. Until at a time where humans began to succeed in high birth rate and fuck so much, they forget and forsake what they once believed in which caused an ultimate anger to the almighty gods which resulted in the greatest ever recorded earthquake as payback to the motherfuckers and kills them all.  

Fast forward to present time, a broken Fertility Idol was uncovered recently in an expedition by chance on a site to build an abortion centre because children suck like that. What once thought as a folklore, now stands before all to witness the existence of the last discovered Fertility Idol. Though head’s broken from the first great earthquake, only the one who is able to possess can only find out the real power of the Idol by going through the groin licking Idol ritual. Holla if the shits work!

The original rabbit “stuff” toy came about when PROPERTY needed designs that are 3-dimensional ye flat packed, easy storage and logistics.

The rabbit was chosen instead of the initial idea of a teddy bear cos it’s just more playful this way.

Pina tart combines elements of 3-dimensional form and structures and handicraft ornaments seen in the lunar new year.

Well pinapple pasteries were stuff into its mouth.
